Haunted Mansion Jello Shots

Whether you’re a fan of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion or prefer the Magic Kingdom’s version in Walt Disney World, these jello shots are for you. They’re perfect for a Halloween party or any other spooky celebration. They are to die for, so look alive and let’s talk jello shots!

Halloween Jello Shots

Jello shots are a Halloween staple and always a hit with guests. But what makes these Haunted Mansion Jello Shots so special? The boba, of course! Boba (or bubble tea) is a type of tea that has tapioca balls in it. These chewy balls add an extra element of fun to the jello shots and make them look even more impressive.

When it comes to the layered gelatin, Tequila and Chambord combine with the boba to make this jello shot look (and taste) amazing!

How to Make Halloween Jello Shots

One of the most important things for success with any jello shot is the jello shot cups. You want to make sure you use clear plastic cups so that the layered effect of the jello is really visible.

We also recommend using a small funnel or measuring cup to pour the liquids into the cups. This will help prevent any spills and make the process much easier.

Now that you have your supplies, it’s time to get started!

To make these jello shots, you’ll need:

  • Gelatin
  • Cold Water
  • Condensed Milk
  • Hot water
  • Black Food Coloring
  • 1⁄4 cup Tequila
  • Purple Food Coloring
  • Chambord
  • Black Tapioca Boba
  • Purple Cake Sprinkles

To make these jello shots, we’ll work in layers, starting with the first black layer of jello. In a medium sized bowl add the gelatin and cold water and whisk to combine completely. Let the gelatin sit for 5 minutes then add a cup of boiling hot water and mix.

Next add the condensed milk, black food coloring, and liquor mixing well. Carefully fill the Jello mixture into the condiment cups 1⁄3 of the way full. Chill the first layer for 1 hour.

For the purple layer, we’ll follow the same directions. In a medium sized bowl add the gelatin and cold water and whisk to combine. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.

Boil 1 cup of water and add it to the gelatin, mixing until combined. Next add the condensed milk, purple food coloring, and liquor. Mix, then layer the jello mixture into the condiment cups 1⁄3 to the halfway point. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

The final black layer is next. Repeat the directions from the first layer and let the jello shots cool in the refrigerator for one hour to set the jello. Once the layers are firm, garnish the top with tapioca boba and purple sprinkles.

And, if you want to make them ahead of time, they can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. Just leave the sprinkles off until you’re ready to serve the shots.

These Haunted Mansion Jello Shots are the perfect addition to your Halloween party. With layers of black and purple jello, they look spooky and taste delicious!
